SAP Note 1503112 - Obsolete MTE nodes in CCMS after monitored system upgrade

Composant : Monitoring -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1503112 (Connexion à SAP Service Marketplace requise)

Résumé :
After a system upgrade, obsolete MTE nodes may appear in the CCMS (rz20) of a CEN-monitored system. These grey, inactive nodes stem from a monitoring segment in the upgraded monitored system yet display no data. Errors indicating missing TIDs and MTE class mismatches in the monitoring logs (sapstartsrv_ccms.log, sapccm4x.log, sapccmsr.log, or developer traces dev_w*) may occur. The root cause involves unintended retention of old monitoring data from files (e.g., ALAGENTALERTS, ALMTTREE) corrupted or improperly cleaned during the upgrade. Resolution involves stopping the instance, deleting these files, removing obsolete IPC shared memory, and restarting the system to prevent future discrepancies.

Mots Clés :
rz20 > menu extras > activate maintenance functions, menu views > technical views > technical id, /usr/sap/<sid>/<instance_name>/log directory, ccms shared memory content, cleanipc <instance number> remove, standalone ccms agent sapccm4x, upgraded satelite system instance, ccms log directory, ccms working directory, ccms agent running
