RFC destination passwords could not be retained when modified via the API RFC_MODIFY_R3_DESTINATION. As of SAP Basis Release 620, an enhancement is available. Implement the function module enhancement by introducing a new import parameter, KEEP_PASSWORD, for password retention, and manually adding exception scenarios such as 'DESTINATION_IS_LOCKED.' These changes need pre-implementation in systems for Release 46C and 46D before importing the note for effective password management in RFC destinations.
