SAP Note highlights issues with report RAFABNEW, which fails to generate new depreciation areas for assets under construction (AuC) linked to capital investment measures. This behavior occurs because new depreciation areas are not necessary for non-depreciating AuC. Additionally, the complexities in updating the settlement amounts per line items in COEPD and COEPBR tables prevent creating new depreciation areas for already posted AuC. Solution proposed includes respecting note 317806 for line item settlements and using the advanced development for summary settlements, acknowledging limitations in reversing values after the creation of new areas up to version 3.1.
