SAP Note 106094 - Dealing with minor differences

Composant : Financial Accounting - Integration/Accounting Interface

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/106094 (Connexion à SAP Service Marketplace requise)

Résumé :
Rounding differences observed when posting foreign currency documents are a result of each line item being calculated into local currency. The total of these items may not balance out to zero because of rounding; thus, creating a balance discrepancy. The distribution of this difference follows predefined rules: In financial documents, it's added to the first non-automatically generated item with a corresponding debit or credit indicator. In the case of FI/CO interface postings, like SD billing documents, the difference is managed by adjustment in the first manual GL, material, or asset account, based on the document's sign, ensuring alignment with initial business partner representations in Financial Accounting. Compliance with database accounting principles has been verified during FI certification.
