Diagnosis
The variant in question is not assigned to a generic material.
All variants grouped into a generic material have the same modelnumber.
A variant without a model number cannot be updated, and means that thesystem is not able to create the whole generic material.

System Response
Updating of the generic material is terminated.

Procedure
Online, the model number number of a variant is contained in the"Generic Material" column.
At database level, the model number is contained in database tablePRICAT_K003 under field description VENDOR_SATNR.
Check whether all the variants belonging to the generic material havethe same entry for the model number.
Correct the entry in the relevant item and restart updating.
