Diagnosis The system determined that RFC connection &V1& is to be used foradministrative tasks in the BW client. Procedure Customize an RFC connection pointing to the BW client of your CRMsystem. You define this RFC connection in the Configuration of RFCConnections> (transaction SM59) and enter it using Display View"Middleware Parameter" >(transaction SM30, View SMOFPARSFA) >asfollows:
- Key BIRFC>
- Parameter Name LOCAL_BI_REPORTING_RFC>
- Param. Name 2 BIREP>
- Param. Value >
This RFC connection is used for administrative tasks like BI Contentactivation or generation of custom extension fields. It allows loggingto the BW client without login screen. Provide a sufficiently authorizeduser, such as ALEREMOTE> with profiles S_BI-WHM_RFC> andS_BI-WX_RFC> assigned.Procedure for System Administration We recommend not to customize RFC connection &V1& with a dialog user. However, in order to perform customizing tasks with this configurationwizard, you need to login to the BW client with a dialog user. Therefore, you can personalize the above mentioned customizing in viewSMOFPARSFA, which lets the user currently running the configurationwizard use a different RFC connection for login to the BW client. Forthis, create an additional entry as follows:
- Key BIRFC>
- Parameter Name LOCAL_BI_REPORTING_RFC>
- Param. Name 2 CONFIG>
- Param. Name 3 >
- User Name >
- Param. Value >
Based on this setting the user (or all users ifthis parameter is not provided) calls the BW client through a specialRFC connection (providing extended authorization and SAP GUI access)during system configuration. All other users refer to the standardconnection.
