Diagnosis
The system cannot create multiple materials; it can only create onematerial at a time.

Procedure
Either select only one search result, or do not select any search resultto create a material from scratch.
Material creation from the Enhanced Material Search function supportsthe following scenarios for single material creation:

• A material can be created from scratch in case no material search result
has been selected.

• A material can be created using an existing material as a template
(material copy). Existing material data is used for new material valuesand can then be changed by user.

• A material can be created from a catalog search result (without a
material number). The data from the catalog item is used for thematerial creation.
When the simplified material creation method is selected, data from thereference material is used for missing material values. The fields usedin the simplified material creation need to be configured in advance inCustomizing for Logistics-General by choosing Material Master ->Enhanced Material Search with Creation -> Configure Simplified Creationof a Material in the Material Search.
