Summary :
For MaxDB versions 7.7 or higher, it is recommended to use Database Studio for database management due to support for new functions. In transitional versions (7.7 and 7.8), DBMGUI remains operational, particularly for external backup tools or HotStandby scenarios. For versions 7.2 through 7.6, SQLStudio and DBMGUI are compatible and available only for Windows, but offer remote access to all released platforms. Always use the latest tool versions for compatibility with current databases and software patches available via SAP Service Marketplace. Installation involves downloading from the Marketplace, unpacking with sapcar, and following standard install/uninstall procedures. Note 1097311 is referenced for Database Studio installation details.
