Summary :
To ensure consistent print outputs across different printer families (PCL-5, PostScript, SAPWIN/SWIN), users must follow specific guidelines during SAPscript/SmartForms creation. These guidelines include adjusting window positioning designed initially on PCL-5 devices (HPLJ4, etc.) for PostScript and SAPWIN/SWIN printers to counter differences in margin settings. Also, utilizing universally supported font families and sizes (such as COURIER, HELVE, and TIMES) ensures uniformity in text presentation. The default space width issue with HELVE/TIMES fonts on older PCL-5 devices can be corrected by deploying adjusted device types like ZHP4SW or updated versions like HPLJ8000. Overlapping boxes must be organized in sequence, and lines (uline) should be created using non-proportional fonts to bridge output disparities.
