SAP Note 1280641 - reginfo, secinfo: Changing #VERSION=2 does not work

Component : Gateway/CPIC -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1280641 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
When #VERSION=2 is indicated in the first line of secinfo or reginfo files and subsequently deleted, an error occurs where the SAP system gateway does not revert to the first version format correctly. The dev_rd log continues to display entries indicating version 2 of both files, suggesting a malfunction in recognizing the format shift. This issue stems from the gateway's inability to adjust after initially engaging with the new format version. To mitigate this issue, it is recommended to maintain the version consistency in production environments. Patch updates addressing this malfunction are pending across various SAP versions.
